To be a singer
There is many things I love to do in my life one of them is singing I always love singing and when I was little my mom was working in hotel and in Fridays night there was a bend singing for the hotel gussets and I will always come there and ask them if I can join them and I did.
As the years past by I got more self conches and more shy about it but I still love singing and I do sing sometime in the Jewish community events and family gathering.

From time to time I’m thinking how my life would look like if I  gone in that path I just enjoying looking on the reality show star born  in Israel ( its same as Australian idol)  and imagining and dreaming what it will be if I go there, can I pass?
Will the judges say you are crap you better keep on singing on the shower to yourself? Or maybe they say you are ok but you are too old ……

Well you know I guess this is a dream that wouldn’t come through as life directed me in different way but I still enjoy thinking about it from time to time.

My Dream house

My number one goal in life now is to get good job in accounting firm and then start life and buy my own house.
I’m dreaming about the moment where I can get into IKEA and just pick up any thing I like to design my new home.
every time when I get into IKEA I stop in the kitchen section and fantasies about my new home and the kitchen that I will have I look at the big two doors fridge and my face getting full of smile well you know as  a mother my thinking is always around the kitchen its start in the morning  when the kids wake up and I need to make breakfast and it continue to lunch when  I cook and then I need to store the food in the fridge but my fridge now is not big so I always have to be very creative on how I’m going to fit it all in the fridge you will be surprise what ideas you get when you have to . Then I wake up to reality and keep on moving to the next alley .
ending up buying some plastic cups or spoons for kids.

But I’m sure one day it will happen.
I still didn’t decided if I had the option will I buy house or unit I grow up in a unit on the 8 floor building and I don’t know way I just so scared from all the animals that are living in the ground that can get in to your home but on the other hand it will be nice to have big place were the kids can run around and we can have BYQ party with friends so I still thinking about it.
well I guess I have few more years to make up my mind about it but what I do know is that I really want to have beautiful view I guess if it is a unit I will want to have the city view the harbor bridge  and the opera house could be nice !!! And if it’s a house maybe the view of the beach?
Well I think that for now I will have to just think about the next step in life and it’s to finish my study successfully and try to get the job that will allow my one day in the future to achieve my dream house.

My motto in life is sometimes dreams come trough so don’t scared on dream big.

Speeding up

Have you ever had that strong desire... igniting in your veins and it seems like it’s your lifetime goal to achieve it. Well not lifetime but at least half of my lifetime I’ve been dreaming of the day when I would graduate from University and be done with studying! As silly and childish this would sound I’ve always felt that I was destined for more…beyond the books and tests there is more for me to learn and explore. People say your real life begins when you have crossed the academic borders and into the real world of working. Okay...everyone wants to graduate, that’s a definite… but my wish is to graduate fast. I want to go fast, I want to finish fast and I want to start exploring the new realm faster. How fast? Like 18 years old graduating from University with a Bachelor degree in Professional Accounting fast. People would comment that I’m tripping. Here’s a brief background of my family: we have this tradition of graduating fast. Both my parents got their degrees in their early 20s (like 21) and my brother who is 19 is going to graduate in his degree, which is engineering, this summer. We’re like accelerators here but regardless of that tradition I myself wish to finish early.

For what reasons? Well I’ve got several reasons and one was mentioned above. The others are: I want to travel and I want to go back to my home country, Indonesia, as soon as possible to help my parents take care of my 2 younger siblings (11 year-old Colleen and 10 year-old Phillip). I guess the most important thing for me in this life is my family.

Left to right: Colleen, me and Phillip
So I was 15 when I finished year 10 and I used my O level result to come to Australia and enroll into foundation. I was a frail and spoiled 15 year-old since living in Indonesia makes it impossible for you to be independent because you have maids and drivers. It was not easy to miss out on the chance of experiencing those glorious HSC days… you know what they say ‘High school is the best part of your life’. When I finished foundation I continued to Diploma and now I’m studying in Macquarie City Campus and this is my second last term (amen!). I’m still 17 and I’m still in the process of getting there.

Looking back, I’m proud of what I’ve been through to make it to this point and how much I’ve strived to achieve my dream. I’ve learnt that there’s literally no way of stopping you from achieving your dreams (not including the impossible) if you are a 101% certain that you want it. Dreams push you to do far better than you expect and become a far better person than you imagine. People will try to bring you down and some will encourage you, but look inside you and find that biggest encouragement which has to come from yourself… that way there are no barriers blocking you from that wish of yours.
